There are 11 beach facilities providers equipped with beach umbrellas, changing cabins, hot showers, nursery services, restaurants and bars overlooking the beach where you can enjoy a seaside lunch or an ice cream, and play areas on the beach with swings, slides and inflatables within reach of the beach umbrellas.

Lignano Pineta (pine forest) combines fun and relaxation. You can take a stroll in the shade of pine trees in Hemingway Park or along the Pontile a Mare pier, or relax in the VIP area on the beach and enjoy the exclusive facilities like the spacious gazebos, jacuzzis and delivery service to your beach umbrella.

The Lignano Riviera beaches

Lignano Riviera comprises five full-equipped beach facilities providers with children’s play areas, paddle boats, sailing boats and paddle boards available for hire, and plenty of other activities for all ages, from sports tournaments to group dancing. Set against a backdrop of verdant umbrella pines, Lignano Riviera is one of the quietest areas in the city, thanks also to the Lignano Thermal Baths, a peaceful and relaxing facility looking onto the sea.


Lignano Sabbiadoro and Friuli Venezia Giulia offer a packed calendar of cultural, musical, folklore and culinary events. Whether you are passionate about good food, exhibitions, historical re-enactments or music, you will find plenty to interest you not far from Golf Club Lignano. Among the many events there is Friuli DOC, an opportunity to try typical dishes while exploring the streets of Udine. Then there is Barcolana, the world’s largest sailing regatta, which takes place in Trieste. And of course we must not forget the Pordenone Blues Festival.

Shopping fans will be able to take a tour of the Lignano Pineta “shopping train”, a row of shops extending for half a kilometre that takes its name from its original shape.


If you love cycling, there are plenty of itineraries and routes that start from Golf Club Lignano for exploring Lignano Sabbiadoro and the surrounding area.

  • plenty of routes through the pine forest, by the sea and past lagoons;

  • lots of guided excursions for exploring the seafront, the lagoon of Lignano and Marano, and the peaceful countryside. Some of these offer combined cycle and boat tours that bring together the amazing natural lagoon and river landscapes.

  • various routes for independent exploring that take you along the coast as far as Bibione to the south, Marano Lagunare to the east and Grado to the north.

Choosing Golf Club Lignano means staying in an area with a wealth of local produce, various Slow Food Presidia, family-run vineyards offering tours for visitors and top restaurants. Traditional dishes include frico (a delicious cheese and potato pie which is simple but very tasty), risotto with silene (bladder campion shoots), local cheeses and San Daniele prosciutto, known as the King of San Daniele, while the Queen is a delicious cold-smoked trout similar to salmon but more delicately flavoured. Numerous quality wines are also produced in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region. These range from white wines like the aromatic Friulano, sparkling Ribolla and sweet Verduzzo to the full-bodied Refosco, fruity Terrano and fresh Schiopettino.
