Surrounded by nature, our golf course was designed by the well-known Italian architect Marco Croze, specialised in golf courses design, and an associate of John H. Harris, the renowned British designer. The course was designed to respect the existing environment, and comprises a perfectly curated 70-hectare green. It is considered one of the best golf courses in northern Italy.

The Golf Club Lignano 18-hole course is set among lakes, ponds and a verdant pine forest. It represents the ideal challenge for all levels, is never the same and is always exciting, even for more expert players. The long fairways, broad greens and vast areas of sand make the Golf Club Lignano course both varied and interesting, requiring the ability to adapt, precision and concentration. Thanks to our mild and gentle climate, the course can be played all year round. Golf Club Lignano has hosted various international championships, including: The Women’s Italian Open in 1993 and 1994, PGA Champions Trophy of Europe in 2008, Alps Tour Servizitalia Open in 2012 and 2015 and the Lignano Open in 2017.
Ideal for learning, training and practising to improve your swing
Designed for both newcomers to the game and the more experienced, the Golf Club Lignano driving range is an ideal place to learn, train and practice to improve your swing. It features nine covered bays, more than 50 practice tees on grass, two putting greens measuring more than 700 square metres each and a pitching green for practising your short game and getting closer to the hole.
Opening hours
In order to allow the greenskeepers to prepare the course and practice areas without interfering with play, on weekdays the course and driving range are open during the hours shown below.
Management reserves the right to change the opening hours based on the number of players.

In 2022 our Club was awarded “OUTSTANDING” status on the LEADING COURSES website. This accolade is reserved for courses with scores of more than 8.5, and put us in second place in Italy for best course maintenance. In 2021 and 2023 we were named the best golf club in Italy by the Golfhäftet website, coming second in 2022.
